Last month, the Virtual Instruments team made our way from the sunny South Bay to foggy San Francisco for VMworld. With more than 21,000 attendees, 5,000 companies and 230 exhibitors from 86 companies, it’s easy to see why VMworld is considered one of the biggest IT events of the year.
VMworld attendees come to the event to hear more about the trends impacting their organizations and to learn about the latest innovative solutions for emerging technologies. And this year we had something special in store for them – live demonstrations of the latest version of the industry’s most comprehensive hybrid IT infrastructure management and AIOps platform, VirtualWisdom. Through on-site demos and theater presentations, attendees were able to see first-hand how Virtual Instruments safeguards performance and eliminates unplanned outages across and industry – while enabling real-time operational intelligence for proactively managing infrastructure. On top of that, the latest version of VirtualWisdom hadn’t even been announced yet, so VMworld attendees were able to get a sneak peek at a product that didn’t hit the headlines until the following week!
Why did we decide VMworld would get an early look at the new VirtualWisdom platform? As our SVP of products put it, “The future of IT operations is autonomous: enterprises need IT operations that never fail to deliver mission-critical services, that adapt to business innovation, and consume resources ever more efficiently. We are enabling enterprises to truly harness the power of AI and machine learning, with a view towards the automated IT operations of tomorrow.” We knew that the folks at VMworld would appreciate our forward-looking perspective and understand the value of incorporating machine learning, statistical analysis, heuristics and expert systems into our already-popular solution.
VMworld always offers a great opportunity for us to introduce our technology to a wide audience, but it’s also a perfect place for us to re-engage with our current partners and customers. As always, we were thrilled to offer live demos and see people leave with smiles on their faces. And in addition to the attendees who stopped by our booth, we received positive and invaluable feedback through one-on-one meetings with reporters and analysts who attended the event.
All told, it was another highly successful edition of one of our favorite events, and we couldn’t be more appreciative of our customers, partners and every attendee we met with at the show.
